Character Sheets? Model Sheets?

A part of this project is creating our own Character and Model sheets, a subject which seemed to bring us all some confusion as to exactly what either one was specifically.  In the end though our tutors decided on a rule for us to follow (at least for this project anyway).  Character sheets will be used to convey how the characters face may change and distort with expressions and how they may look whilst striking different poses.  Model sheets will be used to show the character as a game asset, displaying the character from the front, back and profile perspectives.

Here is an example I sourced from the internet that predominantly shows the correct format for a character sheet:

Here is an example of how a model sheet should be presented.  It shows the character from different perspectives to gove animators and the like a good idea of the characters form.
